EOG Morse Code Detector
A junior year design project for BE 491, Introduction to Biomedical Measurements. Our team of 5 biomedical engineers utilized EOG signal filtration and a program written concurrently in LabView and Matlab. The device received signals from electrodes attached to the user’s temples. It then translated left and right eye movements to Morse Code dots and dashes, allowing users to communicate with the full force of the English alphabet without opening their mouth. It was able to track ocular movements with 98% accuracy.
